Church Field Renovation
The Kids Can Foundation recently purchased materials to renovate a softball diamond owned by Wheatland Presbyterian Church in Plainfield, IL. The Kids Can Board and several parents from the ESP Elite 12u Fastpitch softball team (a project of the Foundation) chipped in with their time and manpower to complete the renovation. Work that was done included regrading portions of the field, adding permanent base plugs, fence repairs, and re-conditioning the entire infield area.
The field will be enjoyed by the ESP Elite and many other youth baseball and softball teams starting in April 2012.
A special thanks goes out to the Wheatland Presbyterian Church who generously allows the use of their lighted field for youth teams in the community.
